celina's very late xmas present

this is what i ended up doing for celina for xmas. the base is an art board and then it had some plaster from stephanie lee's totally plastered class from art unraveled last august. then i played with the paints. i like that it is messy. then i added the hearts and words. as previously mentioned, my camera sucks. so imagine black and white and bright vibrant colors on the rectangles. sheesh. i love this and will probably have to duplicate it for myself one of these days.

my january pages for the 2009 calendar girlz round robin

right side of another two page spread. the houses are inspired by the same artful blogging magazine. i love houses. i have used them in one variation or another in many spreads. this picture was not taken in black and white, it is black and white and silver. love that corrugated paper on the right.

left side of the spread. more of the images from the trader joe's bag. i sure wish the nearest trader joe's was not 85 miles away! and not only for the bags i can cut apart for art!

my january pages for the 2009 calendar girlz round robin

right side of the next two page spread. i covered these pages in masking tape, rubbed some Rub and Buff on them and started gluing. the silverware is from a trader joe's bag, the window i made with a frame picture and a picture from some google images (i think) and the puzzle piece was a gift from Belinda a long long time ago, but it fit perfectly here, don't ya think?

left side of two page spread. these girls were an idea taken from the somerset art blogging magazine. the background is a paper towel i used for some clean up which just happened to be the right color. i took the plies apart so this is only one ply. the crowns are from art chix collage sheets.

Marilyn had the idea to do a calendar journal to keep at home. i got a tiny one (i did not know how small it was going to be when i ordered it from calendars.com) and decided to use it as my stay at home one. my goal is to do one page/spread every week on the saturday or sunday of the calendar week being worked on. there is writing here, but you can't read it due to my crummy camera.
