Playing with slide mounts
well, apparently the gel medium is not dry yet. 'work' is on a piece of acetate and the chess piece is from an envelope someone sent me a long time ago. do i keep everything? why, as a matter of fact, i do!
Playing with slide mounts
slide mount i painted a long time ago and never used. the bar code is from a reorder tag i found somewhere and the 'R' is a zetti alphabet stamp
Playing with slide mounts
someone sent me this cutout of a slide mount. i would love to find the die they used to cut it. it is much more precise than what i do with a pencil and scissors

Patty's Thich Nhat Hanh calendar June 09
Patty's Thich Nhat Hanh calendar June 09
this is about as scribbly/doodly as i get. again with the hearts. they were my starting place for this one. i did a bit of gesso resist and played with my water soluble crayons and found a typewriter-like font and put a couple of little list type things on there. sort of a downer, but i hope not too much. the words are sort of down, but the picture is pretty, yes?
Patty's Thich Nhat Hanh calendar June 09
i looked through a somerset studios publication (don't remember which one) and got inspired to do a heart on a white gesso background type thing. i love hearts and would use them in every spread if i didn't think it would bother other people after the millionth one! it reads, "love gives you wings."

Patty's Thich Nhat Hanh calendar June 09
the first page of the pretty pretty Thich Nhat Hanh calendar journal i worked in for June. all i did was to add the bird. sometimes the art is so beautiful i just don't want to do much to it. i sure hope Patty likes a FAT book because this one is only half way through the year and it is so fat it doesn't even remember how to close.
